1. Incoterms Compliance
We process shipments based on standard Incoterms 2020 formats. Unless a custom agreement is explicitly signed, our defaults are:
- FOB (Free On Board): We handle manufacturing, custom inspections, and port clearance in India, transferring liability to the buyer once container cargo crosses the ship's rail at the loading port.
- CFR / CIF (Cost & Freight / Cost, Insurance & Freight): We arrange vessel booking, freight forwarding, and marine cargo insurance up to the buyer's specified destination port. Terminal handling fees (THC) and import clearances are the buyer's responsibility.
2. Primary Loading Ports (India)
We leverage India's leading cargo ports to ship goods efficiently:
- Major Seaports: Mundra Port (INMUN), Kandla Port (INKND), and Nhava Sheva / JNPT Port (INNSA, Mumbai).
- Airports (for Express/Light Cargo): Ahmedabad Air Cargo Complex (AMD) and Mumbai Air Cargo (BOM).
3. Packaging Standards (Seaworthy)
To withstand long sea voyages and prevent moisture damages in sea transit:
- Industrial Machinery: Heavy vacuum-sealed foil wraps, secured inside ISPM-15 heat-treated wooden crates.
- Brass Parts & Castings: Heavy-duty corrugated boxes packed onto fumigated wooden pallets and secured with HDPE stretch wrap bands.
- Agricultural Grain (Rice): Moisture-proof, double-stitched Jute bags, PP bags, or BOPP bags with internal silica-gel desiccant bags in containers.
- Chemical Solutions (Sulphuric Acid): Transported strictly via dedicated UN-certified ISO tank containers.
4. Mandatory Export Documentation
Shivoham Overseas provides a complete set of clean documents to facilitate smooth import customs clearances at destination ports:
- Commercial Invoice and Packing List.
- Clean Shipped on Board Bill of Lading (B/L).
- Certificate of Origin (issued by Chamber of Commerce, India).
- Pre-shipment Inspection Certificates (SGS, TUV, or custom inspection bodies).
- Phytosanitary and Fumigation Certificates (mandatory for Basmati and Non-Basmati rice).
5. Production and Delivery Lead Times
Lead times depend on the scope of the order:
- In-Stock standard components: Dispatched to the loading port within 7 to 14 working days from payment confirmation.
- Custom OEM and heavy machinery orders: Manufacturing lead times vary between 30 to 45 working days, subject to blueprint approval.
